Job Description
Facilitates the strategy formulation processes and activities in consultation with the relevant key stakeholders, assists in translating the business strategy into operational plans, assists in monitoring the execution of the strategy and reporting on business performance to help OML to achieve business objectives and attainment of its vision to achieve business goals and objectives.ResponsibilitiesStrategic AnalysisInterpret the strategic need and identify solution recommendations to strategic challenges at a business unit level. Analyze financial and operational data, market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to support strategic decision making within the business unit.
Strategic PlanningManage an element of the organization's strategic planning. This could involve being responsible for development or delivery or both.
Forecasting and Demand PlanningManage specific segments within forecasting and demand planning, implementing strategies to efficiently predict future product demand and optimally adjust production levels.
Business PlanningDevelop and propose annual business plans for a given area or department, ensuring alignment with strategy. Recommend financial and headcount budgets; propose business targets, for example, revenues or other key performance indicators (KPIs); and schedule key activities/projects, ensuring integration with other elements of the organization.
Information and Business AdviceProvide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
Insights and ReportingContribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
Project ManagementDeliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
Strategy Formation and ImplementationDevelop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
Data Collection and AnalysisConduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Stakeholder EngagementContribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
Personal Capability BuildingDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
