The Commercial Excellence function within Functional Ingredients BU has been designed to enable step change in commercial performance across all IFF Divisions. The group accomplishes that through a set of commercial transformation initiatives across revenue acceleration, pricing and profitability improvement, key accounts management, sales enablement, and commercial productivity improvement topics.



Your Focus
As Senior Strategic Commercial Manager based in Hyderabad, you will focus on the customer opportunity pipeline funnel of the Functional Ingredients business segments. You will play a crucial role in enabling the business teams to increase pipeline management and productivity and deliver on business strategy and targets by providing accurate, timely analysis and reporting on opportunity pipeline performance.

You will excel in managing large and diverse data sets, possess the creativity to establish connections between them, interpret data in the context of business processes, and demonstrate proficiency translating data to meaningful conclusions and insights. You are results-oriented, self-directed, inquisitive, and act as an owner. You dig into the detail and can juggle multiple priorities and tight deadlines. You know how to break down processes into logical parts and construct crystal-clear reasoning, analyses, and ways of working. You have strong communication and people skills and have learned how to appreciate diverse perspectives and bring out the best in organizations.


The role reports to the Commex Business Performance Lead.

How you will contribute:

Support Functional ingredients strategy by connecting opportunity pipeline data with broader growth and revenue acceleration initiatives to identify areas to improve pipeline performance.Prepare monthly and quarterly opportunity pipeline performance reporting and analysis for regional, segment and GKA leadership teams.Prepare the agenda/material for opportunity management review meetings.Develop, update, and maintain Opportunity Pipeline dashboards (Power BI, SFDC CRMA)Analyze the Opportunity Pipeline data and provide recommendations for improvement of pipeline productivity.Ensure high data quality and provide recommendations for dashboard improvements.Develop Opportunity Pipeline management training material.Serve as the point of contact for all opportunity pipeline related inquiries.Work cross-functionally with Salesforce, IT, Business, Commercial and Finance for resolving data quality and reporting issues to enable high-quality data products.

What you will need to be successful

A 4-year bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.5+ years of work experience in a business data analytics role or business finance analysis role with preference for domain exposure to sales, pricing, commercial analyticsWork independently and across a matrix organization with business partners, functional owners, and technology teams.A highly motivated individual with strong intellectual curiosity, exceptional analytical skills and excellent problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to work autonomously, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across diverse geographies and cultures in a matrixed organization.Strong technical and analytical skills; able to apply both quantitative & qualitative methods and business skills to create value-added insights.Strong understanding of business intelligence and data warehouse concepts (e.g., data structuring, Excel modelling, reporting, etc.)Strong financial acumen.Proficiency in MS Office along with business intelligence (BI) analytics tools such as SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau; experience with CRM Analytics is a plus.Detail-oriented and conceptual thinking skills.Personal initiative, resilience as well as a self-motivated and goal-oriented working attitude.
