About being our Senior Stormwater Engineer\n

Our engineering group is currently involved in projects ranging from storm drainage design for roadway corridors, water quality treatment, LID retrofits, and trails, to fish passage, flood reduction plans, and restoration. Our ideal candidate will have a focus on stormwater management, bring their experience along with a collaborative spirit to hit the ground running on both current and upcoming projects. \n

We offer an exciting opportunity to lead innovative stormwater projects as well as contribute to larger integrated project assignments. As an integrated design firm, we offer a unique opportunity for our engineers to work in partnership with our interdisciplinary staff on a variety of endeavors.\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Senior Stormwater Engineer\n\nProvide modeling, analysis, and documentation of project compliance in accordance with local jurisdictions and governing Stormwater Manual requirements (such as Department of Ecology or King County Surface Water Design Manual)\nServe as engineering lead and project manager for stormwater on in-house integrated design projects and municipal stormwater projects\nProvide mentorship and workload oversight for surface water design engineers\nAssist with the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates\nPerform QA\/QC of work by others to ensure completeness (technical and constructability review) and accuracy of department deliverables\nParticipate in business development efforts including preparation of proposals and involvement in the selection process\n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Senior Stormwater Engineer\n\nBachelors Degree in Civil Engineering \nP.E. license in state of Washington \n15+ years of progressive professional experience, with a focus in stormwater\n5+ years of recent experience in Western Washington\n\n

Preferred Qualifications for our Senior Stormwater Engineer\n\nExperience managing stormwater projects\nExperience mentoring junior staff and managing others\nExtensive experience with stormwater regulations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and infrastructure design \nThorough knowledge of Ecology's Western and Eastern Stormwater Management Manuals as well as local agency adopted surface water manuals and addendums\nExpertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling including backwater analysis, HEC-RAS, and other equivalent software\nProficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MGSFlood, and\/or WWHM\nExperience performing expedited review of surface water documents for site development projects for clients' required building permits and providing creative and efficient design solutions applicable to city\/county\/state drainage codes and client standards\nExperience with scour analysis and countermeasure design\n\n

The genuinely expected range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 salary depending on experience
