Gannett Fleming is seeking a dynamic Senior Stormwater Engineer offering strong technical expertise to join our Water, Energy, and Environmental practice in Fort Worth to provide design engineering support.
The stormwater professional will be involved in engineering calculations, technical studies and prepare plans and specifications for a wide variety of projects, including: stormwater management facilities, culverts and outfalls, open channels, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, inundation mapping. You will also prepare reports (including CLOMRs & LOMRs) and letters.
Responsibilities
Determine client requirements and develops designs and contract documents.Works with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work.Perform hydrologic/hydraulic calculations and modeling involved in the evaluation of watershed drainage studies, master plans and land development projects.Ensure that production of analysis, drawings and specifications meets the scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements and satisfies all federal, state, and local requirements.Provide direction to and supervision for junior level engineers as needed.Communicate independently with clients.Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and lead tasks and simple project teams.Education | Experience:Minimum Requirements
Bachelors of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.5-10 years of applicable experience designing or analyzing stormwater facilities.Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Expertise with design software and GIS.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience with management of small work groups and project tasks.Engineer-in-training (EIT) certification.Professional Engineer (PE) License or able to obtain within 1 year of employment.Company Overview:At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
