Senior Startup Coordinator - Power
**Description** This position as a Senior Startup Coordinator will be responsible for leading field electro-mechanical commissioning projects in support of startup commissioning efforts on various Power Plants and/or Industrial Plants. This position will lead the execution of commissioning tests for a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems to ensure testing is performed in conformance with project startup standards and procedures. + Responsible for consulting on advanced planning and preparation of commissioning and startup activities and major milestones. + Develop a clear and comprehensive plan for the pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup of each project. + Develop and implement clear startup procedures as required by projects. + Responsible for leading discipline section commissioning activities of plant systems as required in accordance with plans, procedures and agreements. + Develop documentation for plant commissioning turnover packages for quality control, documentation and turnover to the client. Ensure project team compliance with quality assurance and quality control as well as processes and procedures. + Consult with vendors and subcontractors regarding equipment testing and commissioning. + Lead technical staff activities to complete startup system testing and initial operation. + Lead and implement field startup commissioning audits. + Present startup commissioning information in meetings. + Lead projects to meet clients and Burns & McDonnell's expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule. + Observe and promote company and site safety policies. + Performs other duties as assigned + Complies with all policies and standards **Qualifications** + Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls or a relevant field of study, and 8 years of Startup Commissioning experience in Power or Industrial Plants + Or Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls or a relevant field of study, and 10 years of Startup Commissioning experience in Power or Industrial Plants + Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement + Computer Skills : MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat. + Ability to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans **Job** Field Construction Management **Primary Location** US-MO-Kansas City **Schedule:** Full-time **Travel:** Yes, 25 % of the Time **Req ID:** 244172 **Job Hire Type** Experienced #LI-DS #PWR
