Senior Accountant

Our products are trusted by industry professionals and each brand is the market leader in its respective category in terms of quality, performance and ease of use. **Position Summary:** The Senior Accountant will be responsible for working collaboratively with members of the Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to provide timely financial analysis to aid in making business decisions. Additionally, this role will be responsible for general accounting and timely month-end close processes including sales, rebates, balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis as required. This role will effectively communicate and coordinate the exchange of financial information across the different departments with in-depth knowledge to guide effective business decisions that deliver profitable growth. **Core Responsibilities** + Review, analyze, and report on financial performance on monthly, quarterly, and YTD basis. + Monitor and report on key business metrics. + Assist in successfully performing month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze variances, and complete bridge schedules and spending analyses. + Provide financial support and be a business partner to commercial and operations functions. Support includes price-cost trends, cost improvement opportunities, and profitability analysis of products, suppliers, programs and special projects. + Utilize Power BI dashboards and other data analytics models in order to increase financial data transparency and usability across the division and enhance decision making. + Assist in preparation of annual operation plan, long range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis. + Understand and apply ITW financial policies consistently and effectively. Ensure that accurate financial records and strong internal controls are in place and being followed. + Assist and/or lead assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement by applying the ITW toolbox principles. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent advanced degree. CPA or MBA preferred + Minimum of 3 years of Accounting or Finance experience + Advanced MS Excel skill, Power BI or similar database experience + Cost Accounting and Manufacturing experience preferred + Strong business communication and excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights and recommendations + Collaborative and highly communicative, self-directed with high orientation to teamwork **Work Environment:** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
