Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies currently has an opening for Mid-Level Systems Engineer, you will work with the technical team to identify issues with production operational systems in a secure environment and implement those solutions.

Additionally, you will contribute to the development of leading-edge technologies that deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers. In this role you will perform technical planning, concept of operations definition, requirements elicitation and derivation, and analyses throughout the system development lifecycle. In addition, you will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition in a model-based system engineering environment..

Essential Functions:

Strengthen our in-place Specialized IT team in handling technical issues with secure advanced KVM and video display systems in an operations environmentDevelop, assess, and maintain CONOPs and interface control documents from customer / product requirementsSupport full system development lifecycle including conceptualizing, designing, procuring, building, test, installation, operations, maintenance and disposalInteract with senior program managers and customers to define approaches and strategiesLead trade studies to identify solutions which meet requirementsProvide guidance to development teams at internal and external gate reviews such as technical baseline reviews and design reviewsPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsEnsure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions which meet technical, schedule, and cost constraintsUp to 10% travel may be requiredThis position is on-site with no remote workOther duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experienceIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experienceCurrent TS/SCI with CI Poly Security Clearance or aboveCurrent Security+ CE or equivalent

Preferred Additional Skills:

Desktop and server troubleshooting experienceAudio Visual / KVM experienceStrong problem solving skillsExperience using Microsoft Office productsExcellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environmentExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)Windows and Linux experience (troubleshooting, configuring, building, securing)
