ASML China is looking for a Senior Specialist APAC Treasury!

Are you a strong hands-on professional with treasury experience in the area of cash management and financial risk management and have excellent analytical and communication skills? Role and responsibilitiesPurpose of the Job – applicable for the APAC* region

Support Senior Manager Treasury APAC with the day-to-day execution of the treasury strategies.

*APAC currently includes Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Taiwan and China but can be broadened with the geographical expansion of ASML.

Key Areas of Responsibility – applicable for the APAC* region

Risk management

Financial counterparty credit risk Ensure compliance with the financial counterparty credit risk limits at any given point in timeCustomer Credit RiskProvide customer credit risk assessment for APAC based customers in accordance with the global customer credit risk policy upon requestForeign exchange managementAnalyze risk exposuresExecute risk mitigating and hedging actions according to the strategy

Liquidity Management and In-House Banking

Support financial infrastructure for regional cash management and repatriation of cashExecute intercompany financing reviews and take resulting actionsShort-term forecasting of liquidity needs per legal entity and bank accountExecute funding transactions to provide liquidity to the legal entitiesReview cash balances and analyze anomaliesManage intra-day and overdraft facilitiesExecute foreign exchange transactions per legal entityManage in-house bank where regulatory allowed

Investment management

Execute investment transactionsOnboard new products in accordance with the strategy

Relationship management

Banks, insurance companies, system providers, consultants Provide input to relationship management discussionsWork with the banks and providers on improvements in pricing, product offering, processes, customer service etcExecute Know Your Customer requests

Business partnering

Participate in the relevant corporate or sector project teamsWith the guidance of Senior Manager provide relevant inputs and advices

Insurance management

Assist in the renewal of local insurance policies, including PO issuance and ensuring payment of premiums

Trade Finance

Issue bank guarantees and assist in issuance of Letters of Credit in accordance with the policy

Treasury Compliance

Monitor changes in the local laws and regulations and amend processes in the relevant areas to comply 

Education and experience

Master’s degree in relevant field with strong analytical and problem solving ability.Excellent in both Chinese and English; verbally and in writing. Other APAC languages (especially Korean) would be considered an asset.At least 3 years experience in Treasury in large globally operating companies.Strong focus on compliance with local laws and regulations in Treasury.Experience in collaborating in multi-cultural teams working in different locations and time zones globally.

SkillsHigh level of ethics, loyalty and personal integrity.Strong drive with a hands-on, structured, accurate and result oriented working style.Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively explain concepts to stakeholders and achieve alignment.Excellent analytical skills. Experience with BI tools is a strong asset for this role.
