What You Will Do

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting stakeholders in the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Show and Disney Live Entertainment (DLE) Studios, including oversight and implementation of the procurement process for multiple complex projects.  You will execute sourcing decisions in selecting service providers to maximize the value of multi-million dollar annual spend, and to mitigate risks through smart contract negotiations. This includes supporting key Category and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), writing and executing contracts/change orders, leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/bidding processes, negotiating deals including master agreements, pre-qualifying and managing suppliers, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance, facilitating process improvements and bringing stakeholders together for collaboration to leverage opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Role

Identify, evaluate, and qualify category-specific suppliers, and other consultants based on a defined selection criterionEarly engagement in project development timeline from blue sky ideation, feasibility, concept, schematic, design development through completion of construction documentsManage the competitive bidding processes (RFP) in accordance with TWDC policy and procedures, including sole/single/preferred source evaluationExecute contracts and change orders with post-award administration and negotiations, through contract close-outAssist, implement and influence supplier performance management programs that focus on contractual responsibility, quality, responsiveness and costEnsure compliance with Strategic Sourcing policies and best practicesCommunicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships and/or constraints that could affect planning and decision-making

Required Qualifications & Skills

5 years or more of working in a sourcing, procurement/contract administration, and/or have relevant work experience in the fields of design/engineering and/or fabrication/production.Competent in the negotiation of key contractual language/terms and conditions (i.e. indemnification, SaaS, audit rights, ownership, etc.)Proven track record demonstrating integrity and ethics in all instancesAbility to engage and establish confidence and trusted relationships with senior leadership and all position levels; both internal and externalAdvanced analytical, problem-solving and time management skillsRefined written and oral communication, and proficient presentation abilitiesProven track record of meeting commitments and prioritization in a schedule-driven environmentAbility to collaborate in a team environment (i.e., legal, information security, finance, risk management, etc.) and desire to work in a diverse and inclusive environmentInternal stakeholder focus – ability to identify/solicit key stakeholder needs and develop and implement strategies, processes and solutionsProven ability to quickly master new systems/platforms and toolsStrong attention to detailExperience working with and/or for firms who provide professional or engineering services, technology, and softwareExperience with SAP or other ERP softwareProficient working in Microsoft 365

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, finance, engineering or other associated discipline.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology, supply chain, business or another related fieldLegal and/or IT background/knowledge desired

The hiring range for this position in California is $113,600.00 - $138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
