General Summary:

The Qualcomm Windows Platform Test team is looking for highly motivated and committed Senior Software Test Engineer to participate in the validation of Windows Ecosystem features including but not limited to corporate enterprise-related system features on upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon Compute (Laptop/Tablet) devices.

 

The candidate will have strong technical acumen, a background in system testing, as well as Python programming experience. The candidate will work with a committed team of cross-functional engineers to commercialize exciting new features to aid Qualcomm’s expansion in this strategic business unit.

Responsibilities include:

Design, create and modifies test coverage for new feature for the Windows on ARM projectDefine new test processesCreating innovates test approachesPartner with the development team to define requirements and test approachesDeveloping and maintain Python based automation.Work closely with the development team to understand new features and develop high quality testsDocuments systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers.Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Skills/experience:

Self-starter and problem solver who is creative, enthusiastic, collaborative, and innovative with debugging and communication skills.2+ year tests experience developing and creating test plansRequired knowledge of Python for automation developmentMS Degree in Computer Science or EE preferredExperience with Python.Technical problem solving and debugging abilityProficient written and verbal communications skillsFamiliarity with wireless communication protocols, GPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, multimediaFamiliarity with Agile methodologiesFamiliarity with SQL server and database applicationsFamiliarity with data visualization tools like Power BIFamiliarity with the fundamentals of the Window OS architecture

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$111,300.00 - $166,900.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
