Principal responsibilities

Delivery and Application Management
• Primary accountability is to develop hands-on the most appropriate Channel Agnostic Information Services related IT solutions for China and Global to support multiple channels as generic as possible in line with strategic solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement.
• End to end accountable for Channels Information Service products and services primarily for China and contribute / align to Global services, identifying and developing the most appropriate IT solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey taking cost and high productive deliverables.
• Responsible for Production support, maintenance and operational activities primarily for China IT applications under Information Services and align / contribute to global solutions. Drive continuous service improvement through the China Information Services IT solutions with key focus on improvement and quality.
• Responsible for ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements, adherence to group controls and remediation activities. Drive best engineering practises across the Information Services China team and collaborate with peer HSBCnet teams to drive across.
• Work closely with business stakeholders from China and global business partners to deliver enhancements and support driving service improvements overall, keeping customer experience as top priority and deliver the same.
• Accountable for the operational stability, integrity and availability of products and services supported by the pod
• Accountable for the performance of the pod activities and maintaining performance in line with benchmark objectives (inc productivity, quality and effectiveness measures)
• Support the solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures systems and adhere to the standards laid down.

People Management
• Develop and manage high performing team to meet present and future needs
• Develop Talent and leadership at all levels including opportunities for growth, stretch roles, global leadership, and succession for key/critical roles.
• Attract, develop, and retain talent across delivery leadership and technical/functional SME and Lead performance management including compensation, vertical/lateral progression, and reward recognition globally.
