As a Senior Software Engineer-SB in our Agile environment, your team will rely heavily on your serious coding skills and technical expertiseying existing systems. You will lead analysis activity and do higho high-level architecture for an app feature. Your role is critical, and we need you to bring energy to the team. Innovation is key for us, and you'll be expected to influence your team with new technology tools and ideas. Also, because we are Agile, there will be times that you will be expected to step beyond traditional engineering duties to reach your team's definition of done.
Duties and Cor Responsibilities
• Code and design new applications based upon detail specifications of business and user requirements.
• Lead the design and create documentation of solutions.
• High level architecture and analysis.
• Document new applications, or the changes made to existing applications.
• Participate in unit, integration, ui automation, and business acceptance testing of the applications.
• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance of standards and quality.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues.
• Do whatever is necessary to get to your team's definition of done.
• Research, experiment and recommend emerging technologies
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience or a Masters and 2+ years of experience in a related field - 3+ years building Web Applications with front-end SPA frameworks and multiple languages/libraries: HTML/ CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, jQuery, and frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js, VueJS or other (React preferred) - 3+ years of RESTful API development for the front-end
- 3 + years of experience in data storage technology such as: Relational Databases (MySQL, SQL, Oracle, etc.) - 2+ years of experience with two or more of the following languages: Python, Java, or Node.js (Python preferred) - 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies - 2+ years of experience implementing event-driven applications with services like AWS EventBridge, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc. • Strong understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks
• Ability to be self-directed
• Some experience in an Agile environment
• Participation and familiarity with open-source projects
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Be a student of technology with passion for researching and experimenting with new technology
