What You Will Get To Do:
Work in a cross-functional Scrum team, informing requirements and design and seeing it all through to implemented code in production.
Work closely with software architects, challenging their decisions and collaborating with them to optimize technical designs.
Inspect iterative results and propose improvements to technique, tools, and process.
Take co-ownership of your Definition of Done with your Development Team member peers and be uncompromising on quantifiable code quality.
Get to know your customer and empathize with their pain points so that when you solve their problems you share in the satisfaction.
Design and implement applications and services supporting our health plan and pharmacy benefit management customers.
Evolve our development ecosystem by exploring and prototyping new ways of meeting our business needs.
What You Will Bring:
7+ years of application development experience in Java Backend development using technologies like Spring framework/Spring Boot, Redis Cache.
Previous experience writing unit tests with JUnit, Mockito, or PowerMock
Knowledge of markup languages such as JSON and YML
Working knowledge of quality and security scan technologies such as Sonar, CodeQL
Engineering degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
A solid foundation in object-oriented and cloud native design.
Experience in writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g. Java/Spring, Go).
Experience with relational and document databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
Experience learning new open source software, APIs and frameworks.
Familiar with bash, Git, Jira, and agile methodologies.
Experience in Kafka and streaming.
Experience in designing, developing large scale systems.
Strong understanding of data models for different flavors (RDBMS, Postgres, NoSQL, Cassandra, Mongo).
Excellent in Data Structure and Algorithms.
Experience in CI/CD, Docker & Kubernetes.
