About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer II role performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This SWE performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, implement, deploy, and maintain features for NLP or AI-related projectsConduct experiments on large datasets to evaluate the feasibility, results, and performance of productsMake sound engineering decisions and improve software development practices while focusing on performance and reliabilityWork with and support other teams within the business to ensure the integrated system meets quality standardsKeep abreast of new technology developments

Requirements

Have at least 5+ years of Software Engineering experiences as a team member or team mentor in a mid to large technical companyExperience working with Python, and optional at least one other programming language such as Java, C#, C++, SQL, etc.Experience of successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.Good sense of software architecture design, application scaling, performance, and security.Solid verbal and written communication skills
