BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.QUALIFICATIONS: + 5+ years of Software Engineering experience + BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required SKILLS: + Be expert in development languages, including but not limited to: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 2, SQL, Cyprus + Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques. + Strong research skills. + Strong knowledge in industry best practices in development + Knowledge of test-driven development + Good oral and written communications skills. ACCOUNTABILITIES: + Providing design input across a product + Acting as an acknowledged 'go to' person on coding and technical issues + Interfacing with other technical personnel and product owners to finalize requirements and estimations + Completing complex bug fixes, and resolving technical issues + Designing and working with complex data models + Mentoring software developers with best practices and providing guidelinesKeep abreast of new technology developments. + Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
