We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our platform team focusing on the AI/ML Platform (AMP). This team builds and maintains central components to fast-track the development of new ML/AI models, such as model development studio, feature store, model serving, and model observability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in backend development and a willingness to contribute to other areas of the platform. Having full-stack experience would be a plus. You will collaborate with other full-stack engineers and MLOps engineers on the team to build end-to-end web applications that handle internal user workflows. As an important contributor to our engineering team, you will help shape the future of our AI/ML capabilities, delivering solutions that create value for our organization. You will report to a manager.
Responsibilities
Building, maintaining REST API/microservices in golang, python on AWS“We build it. We operate it. We maintain it. We own it.” mindset. Taking end-to-end ownership of the components is crucial for this roleTest automations, user documentation Troubleshooting: Handling support requests from internal customers, troubleshooting the issues and timely communication Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across diverse teams, including full-stack engineers, MLOps engineers, DevOps, Product managers, software architects fostering a collaborative and cohesive work environmentMinimum Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Over 5 years of hands-on experience in backend engineering, full-stack development Solid experience of building production grade applications in Golang Aware about best practices, design tradeoffs, DB schema design for application development Familiarity with unit test, functional test, integration test and test automation Familiarity with python and its ecosystem e.g. pandas Experience with using, troubleshooting CI/CD, build automations Exposure to deployments on public cloud (AWS or equivalent) Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fostering teamwork and effective information exchange Willingness to learn continuously into full-stack, cloud engineering, MLOps to also contribute to other initiatives in the teamPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience working on kubernetes based deploymentsFamiliarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) Prior experience in data engineering or collaboration with data scientists#LI-AC3
