Senior Software Engineer - OnePass
Thomson Reuters OnePass is an internally-developed Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) service built to handle the complex authentication requirements for Thomson Reuters Legal Division products.
This role is in the Platform Engineering/Shared Capabilities organization, where we build the foundational capabilities on which Thomson Reuters runs. Our team is responsible for OnePass, an authentication system designed to securely manage customer authentication and coarse-grained authorization for users and services accessing products developed by the Legal Division at Thomson Reuters. This role will be part of a team in Mexico in partnership with team members in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
Develop and Deliver:
Collaborate with development managers, architects, scrum masters, software engineers, DevOps engineers, product managers and project managers to deliver phenomenal software.Develop software using C#, ASP.NET,Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle: Ideation, Design, Build, Test and Operate. We embrace a DevOps culture (“you build it, you run it”); while we have dedicated 24x7 level-1 support engineers, you may be called on to assist with level-2 support.Work on AWS and collaborate with other teams on identity standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML and SCIM).Participate in a Scrum team and embrace the agile work model.Collaborate with engineering managers, architects, scrum masters, software engineers, DevOps engineers, product managers and project managers to deliver phenomenal software.Demonstrate and model transparency and collaboration with teams across the company.Help mentoring other software engineers with less experience than you in their path to become a better software engineer.Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially in Identity & Access Management.About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if you have:
Basic qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.Hands-on experience developing applications using C#.Experience developing ASP.NET applications and/or webservices using JSON.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.Experience with authentication systems or related experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML and SCIM standards.Experience with Microsoft developer tools (Visual Studio) and GitHub.#LI-AC1
