Job Description:
We are seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer / Lead with expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, focusing on functional testing with a strong emphasis on test automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in QA processes, automation frameworks, and agile methodologies, ensuring high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Mandatory Skills,
Primary Skill Set:
• Domain Expertise: Duck Creek Policy Admin System on P&C / Commercial/ Specialty Insurance
• Testing Expertise: Manual & Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing, End-to-End Testing
• Test Automation: Strong understanding of automation frameworks and shift-left testing principles
• Agile & QA Practices: Experience with agile methodologies, test planning, risk-based testing, and quality assurance best practices
• Defect Management: Proficient in defect tracking, resolution, and verification before UAT/production
• Test Management Tools: Jira workflows, Jira test management plugins
Secondary Skill Set:
• Automation Frameworks: Selenium with Java, API test automation
• BDD Implementation: Experience in writing test cases in Gherkin (Cucumber, SpecFlow, or equivalent)
• CI/CD Integration: Automating smoke and regression tests within DevOps pipelines
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Testing & Quality Engineering
• Analyze new requirements and use cases to define testing strategies
• Validate system configurations and ensure alignment with product requirements
• Conduct regression, functional, system, and exploratory testing
• Identify and prioritize high-risk areas to prevent defect leakage
2. Test Automation & CI/CD Integration
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Selenium with Java-based frameworks
• Automate regression and smoke test cases, reducing manual testing efforts
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
• Identify opportunities for shift-left testing and implement early defect detection
3. Agile Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Agile Coaches
• Ensure testing is embedded within agile sprints, driving quality-first practices
• Provide test execution reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders
• Drive continuous QA process improvements and optimize testing frameworks
4. Leadership & Mentorship
• Lead the QA team, ensuring best practices and consistent testing standards
• Mentor and coach team members on domain knowledge, automation, and testing methodologies
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and drive preventive actions
• Facilitate domain/technical training sessions within the team
