Position Details:

Job Title: Sr. Quality Engineer

Grade: P2

Years of experience: 6 to 10 years

Location: Hyderabad

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in API testing, test automation, and Agile methodologies. The candidate should have functional and automation testing expertise and be willing to work on both. Prior experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure quality is built into the development lifecycle. Design, develop, and execute functional and automated tests for APIs and UI applications. Perform API testing/test automation using Postman, REST Assured,  RestSharp or equivalent tools. Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to define test scenarios. Ensure proper test coverage, defect tracking, and continuous integration of test suites. Work on test data management, environment setup, and debugging issues. Contribute to test strategies, automation frameworks, and process improvements. Work on both functional testing (manual & automated) and test automation to ensure high-quality software releases.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with strong API and automation testing skills. Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies Experience on testing third party applications integrations with Digital API’s & workflows Strong knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured. Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium with Java (or C#) , Playwright, or equivalent. Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests. Experience with JIRA, and any test management tools. Prior Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
