Our **Customer Focused Engineering (CFE)** team is looking for highly motivated **Software Engineers** to help us in this mission. **You will play a key role** **in** **extending and modifying Windows Operating system code** for keeping our customer base secure, improving the reliability of the platform, addressing customer reported issues, and developing features to light up new scenarios and devices in the Windows ecosystem (PCs, Phones, Servers, SurfaceHub, Hololens, Azure and more). Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Develop features to support the enterprise and security scenarios in Windows. + Handling one or more core components in Windows OS like the WMI, PowerShell, Group Policy and multiple security components. + Reproducing, debuggingand fixing customer-reported problems. + Crafting high-quality, bug-freefixes with minimum application compatibility risk. + Adding new features in Windows. + Prioritizing your collection of work and delivering fixes in a timely fashionto meet deadlines. + Collaborating with escalation engineers and other partner teams across Microsoft to debug, develop, test and ship updates. + Finding ways to improve products, tools, and processes for long-term benefitfor Microsoft and customers. + Mentoring junior engineers in the team. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++. + Ability to understand unfamiliar code bases, and debug server-side, multi-threaded, and highly scalable applications. + Experience with agile/scrum methodologies. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in working with Windows system level programming is desirable. + Proven design and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on quality and engineering excellence. + Proven communication skills, both verbal and written. + The ability to work well in a diverse, global, team-focused environment. + Demonstrated results working with a global team. + Overall understanding of Azure/Cloud infrastructure is desirable. \#W+Djobs  #wsdjobs  \#wsdindia  \#ewdindia    \#wsd  Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
