Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Content Productization & Delivery (CPD) organization at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of critical systems that support our research-based applications and APIs across our core products.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Senior Software Engineer, you will:

Actively participate and collaborate in meetings, processes, agile ceremonies, and interactions with other technology groupsWork with Lead Engineers and Architects to develop high-performing and scalable software solutionsProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to software or systems engineering teamsAssist in identifying and correcting software performance bottlenecksProvide regular progress and status updates to managementProvide technical support to operations or other development teams by troubleshooting, debugging, and solving critical issuesInterpret code and solve problems based on existing standardsCreate and maintain technical documentation related to assigned componentsDeliver high-quality software solutions that meet requirements and design specificationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our productsShare knowledge and best practices on using new and emerging technologiesEnsure the reliability and availability of critical systems

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer,if your background includes:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.3+ years of professional software development experienceStrong Python programming (1+ years)AWS experience with EKS/KubernetesExperience with LLMs, AI Solutions, and evaluationUnderstanding of agentic systems and workflowsExperience creating Retrieval Systems leveraging tools like OpenSearchExperience with event-driven/asynchronous programmingExperience with high-concurrency systemsExperience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and AWS services (Code Pipeline/Code Build)Strong understanding of Microservices and RESTful APIsFastAPICeleryData Engineering backgroundExperience with AWS services (Redis, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Kinesis, KMS, IAM, Secret Manager, etc.)Performance optimization and security practices
