Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceThorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering toolsDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary teamsThorough understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and SpiralThorough understanding of engineering principles and computer science fundamentalsThorough understanding of data structures and algorithm implementation within the C and C++ programming languagesProficient experience using software version control systems (subversion, git, etc.)Proficient experience using software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated buildExperience designing and implementing software using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or other cross-compilation platformsExperience designing and implementing software for Real-Time Operating Systems and/or embedded systemsExperience leading and delivering large-scale projects, ability to architect complex systems.Experience developing individuals by providing coaching, mentoring, and career guidance.Strong organization skills and work ethicThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity and/or experience with Python, MATLAB, and other programming languagesFamiliarity and/or experience with computer graphics programming (OpenGL / Vulkan)Familiarity and/or experience with machine learning principles and techniquesInterest in avionics systems, embedded software, drones, robotics, computer vision, control systems, statistics, mathematics and/or computer networkingSNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
