We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer

Business: Wealth Personal Banking IT

Principal responsibilities

• Provide support to the AM global and regional production systems and ensure systems and procedures comply with regulatory and internal audit processing requirements.
• Investigate and propose solution for the production issues and ensure minimum disruption to the business
• Provide advice in their field of specialty to project team and technical support staff
• Liaise with other technicians within IT Operations, Development and external suppliers to ensure the delivery of specified services, projects and tasks
• Liaise with regional and global team members to achieve objectives, resolve problems and incidents to ensure smooth running of the operations
• Build solid working relationships with local IT teams, global AM support team, IT Operations teams and vendors
• Develop own expert-level understanding of major local systems
• Participate in capacity and performance management to monitor and predict capacity requirements, ensuring that appropriate business and operational needs are satisfied and service level targets achieved
• Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring
• Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators

Knowledge Experience / Qualifications

• University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
• Solid experience in technical platforms including Windows server, SQL Server
• Ability to work independently and proactively under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both English and Chinese
• Dynamic, self-motivated and flexible mindset, with good customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing environment
• A fast-learner and a good team player with strong influencing skills and strong sense of requirement or problem ownership
