About the Role
This position is part of the Service Mesh team, where we engineer and operate a microservice platform based on Kubernetes and Istio. Our goal is to build foundational services that enable Thomson Reuters to deliver digital products efficiently, creating a durable competitive advantage by providing essential "building blocks" that accelerate value-to-market.
In this opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Establish software engineering best practices and develop tools for seamless compliance.
Drive automation in testing and deployment processes.
Engage in all stages of the development lifecycle: Ideation, Design, Build, Test, and Operate, embracing a DevOps culture.
Collaborate with diverse teams including product managers, architects, scrum masters, and DevOps engineers to deliver outstanding software solutions.
Actively participate in Scrum teams and embrace agile work methodologies.
Stay informed on emerging cloud technology trends, particularly within the CNCF landscape.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if your background includes:
4+ years of software development experience.
2+ years of experience in building cloud-native infrastructure, applications, and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS and/or Azure AKS.
Experience with Istio or other Service Mesh technologies.
Familiarity with container security and supply chain security.
Knowledge of declarative infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and GitOps.
Experience with Kubernetes operators written in Golang.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
