Senior Software Engineer
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Chief Development Office (CDO) within our Chief Technology Office (CTO) and be responsible for designing and developing the developer experience (DevEx) platform in alignment with technology trends. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com . **In this role, you will:** + Lead moderately complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact + Contribute to developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines + Design, code, test, debug, and document for software products. + Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors + Make recommendations in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives + Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals + Act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff **Required Qualifications:** + 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 2+ years of programming experience in JavaScript or TypeScript with React or Angular + 1+ year of experience with Agile development practices + 1+ year of experience in building and deploying UI/UX applications **Desired Qualifications:** + Experience in designing and implementing non-functional requirements (NFRs) + Experience with CI/CD pipeline + Experience with UI/UX core concepts + Knowledge and understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), SOLID, Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) concepts + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills + Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives + Experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) **Job Expectations:** + Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening + This position offers a hybrid work schedule + This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship​ + Relocation assistance is not available for this position **Locations:** + 300 South Brevard St - Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 + 2600 South Price Rd - Chandler, Arizona 85286 + 800 South Jordan Creek Pkwy - West Des Moines, Iowa 50266 + 1301 Solana Blvd - Westlake, Texas 76262 + 1525 West W.T.
