About the team

The Analytics team builds an end-user-facing analytics product that helps Dialpad customers make data-driven decisions for their businesses. The analytics product is especially beneficial for Dialpad’s CCaaS customers.

 This team owns the analytics stack end to end. On the infrastructure side, this team is responsible for ingesting data from many different teams within Dialpad into our online analytics processing database. This team owns the data pipelines, ETL logic and data modelling. We use Kafka, Dataflow, CloudRun, BigQuery, ElasticSearch and Apache Pinot. On top of this infrastructure, the analytics team is responsible for full-stack web application development of data visualizations and dashboards. This includes writing performant queries, handling complex metrics calculation business logic, and building intuitive data visualisations.

Analytics engineers are focused on the performance and scalability, reliability and costs of the infrastructure while maintaining a strong customer focus and building an analytics product that delivers actionable data and insights.

Our teams are highly collaborative and comprise cross-disciplinary professionals, including Product Managers, Designers, QA specialists. Every engineer on our global engineering team is given the opportunity to take ownership of a large portion of the product where they’re able to see immediate results. Your role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack or Backend Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable web & desktop native applications using modern frontend and backend technologies. You will own significant features end-to-end and tackle technical hurdles and enrich the team through your engineering experience including mentorship of junior engineers. You will guide projects with multiple engineers collaborating to deliver major features. You will work jointly in a cross functional team, including working closely with Product Managers in advocating for technical initiatives for the team.

What you’ll do

Develop and maintain Dialpad's web & desktop applications using modern technologies. Understand and implement complex metrics calculation business logic and queries Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using best practices along with unit tests. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability. Ensure that features are shipped on time and with the highest quality. Take up on-call activities to support and resolve the issues coming from the QA and the Customers Be responsible for deploying the new releases on a weekly release cadence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and use common components and practices across Dialpad products Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their skills and expertise.

Skills you’ll bring

7+  years of experience in Full-stack or backend software engineering. Strong experience with Python, APIs, GCP or other cloud infrastructures etc.  Experience with databases SQL/NoSQL. Strong experience with data modeling and writing performant code Experience with building reusable and modular components both frontend and backend. Experience with mentoring junior engineers and helping them grow their skills. Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL schemas. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with any of data pipelines, ETL layers, building data visualizations  is nice to have Minimum familiarity with Vue/React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, 

This position reports to Engineering Manager, who is based in Bangalore and the role will be based in our Bengaluru, India Office. The position will require a hybrid working arrangement based out of our Bengaluru office
