**Senior Software Development Engineer - The Mixed Reality Group** We're seeking a **Senior Software Development Engineer** with a background in mixed languages such as C, C# (WPF), Powershell, and Python. In addition to coding skills,we're seeking technical leadership skills, debugging and troubleshooting abilities. **In this role, you will be working within a team of developers to build automated test and validation code to build physical products.** We create frameworks and platforms for product validation and manufacturing, working closely with hardware teams to ensure our devices meet their functional and performance goals.  You will contribute to the design of test executive software (C#), data acquisition firmware (C, C++ and embedded C), data collection infrastructure (XML, JSON, SQL, etc.). You will build maintainable and deployable code using Azure infrastructure for secure application deployment and test data collection. Your code will touch every device in Mixed Reality and focus on solving real issues that block our path to production. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Partners with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of scenarios. + Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. + Leads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products. + Leverages subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items. + Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products/solutions, working on-call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. + Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, **C, C++, C#, Powershell or Python** + OR equivalent experience. + Experience with electronic Consumer Product Design or Test application Experience. + Experience with debugging and analysis tools such as with oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, hardware attached/remote debugging. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, **C, C++, C#, Powershell or Python** + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to **C, C++, C#, Powershell or Python** + OR equivalent experience. + Experience integrating test equipment DLLs (Dynamic Link Library), such as Keysight, LitePoint, IVI (internchangeable Virtual Instruments), VISA (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture), etc. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
