Job Summary:
The Senior Software Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of high-quality software solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software systems are scalable, maintainable, and align with business objectives. The Senior Software Architect also mentors junior developers and architects, providing technical leadership and guidance.
Essential Functions:
- Architecture Design and Development:
Design and develop software architectures that meet business requirements and industry best practices.Create architectural diagrams, documentation, and standards.Ensure software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure.Technology Evaluation and Integration:Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks.Integrate new technologies into existing systems while maintaining system integrity.Code Quality and Best Practices:
Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development teams.Ensure the implementation of automated testing and continuous integration.Project Management and Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes.Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.Performance Optimization:
Monitor and analyze software performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Optimize code and system performance through effective design and implementation.Security and Compliance:Implement and maintain security best practices in software development.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Mentor and guide junior developers and architects, providing technical direction and support.
Lead software-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Preferred Bachelors with 7+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 9+ years relevant experience or 11+ years of relevant experience - .
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with architectural design and implementation.
- Experience with various programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, .NET, Angular, React).
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Proficiency in modern development practices, including Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
