We are partnered with a leading Tier 1 main contractor involved in key sectors including Civil Infrastructure, Transport, Commercial, Residential, Retail, Industrial, Fit Out, Data Centre, and Pharmaceutical. Due to continued growth, the organisation is in need of an experienced and highly skilled Senior Site Manager for projects in Galway, Dublin, and Wexford. As a Senior Site Manager you will monitor the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within the budget, you ideally have an extensive experience in site management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction process and regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure they are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
Develop detailed work plans, schedules & milestones to ensure project objectives are met.
Manage a team of installers, subcontractors, and site supervisors, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all team members are clear on their roles.
Carry out regular safety inspections and audits, ensuring all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, company policies and BCAR coordination.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the discussion of project progress, addressing issues, and plan upcoming tasks.
Review and approve completed work maintaining high standards of workmanship and materials on site.
Address any quality issues or defects effectively as soon as possible.
Work closely with project teams to communicate status, changes & issues to relevant parties.
Maintain updated project documentation, progress reports and safety records ready for review or submission to senior management.
Degree/qualifications in Construction Management/ Engineering or related field.
Proven years of experience in Site Management roles within construction with focus on main contractor, residential, commercial, and pharmaceutical projects.
SMSTS, SSSTS, & First Aid certification are beneficial.
Strong knowledge and implementation skills of Health and Safety regulations and standards.
Effective verbal & written communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
