Summary
Are you an experienced civil engineer the Reno area? Do you enjoy working with, leading, and mentoring a team of talented and hungry designers and drafters? Are you experienced with the local agency permitting process and development standards? Does your experience include leading multi-disciplined planning and design professionals through the successful design, permitting and construction of projects? Does mixing it up with clients and potential clients feel comfortable (i.e., business development)? DOWL expects that you can demonstrate the requisite work history and progression of responsibilities to rise to this level of civil engineering leadership, applying to moderately complex projects your experience and judgement, exercising professional work ethics, maintaining diligent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in civil analysis and design, successful team collaboration, supervision and team building (read: hiring), and both project and client management. You can work well with others, absorb, and apply constructive feedback, and seek guidance from more experienced team members, when necessary.

The usual office and site civil design software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD). Preparation of SD, DD and Construction Documents and permit applications. Project Specifications experience is a bonus. PE registration in Nevada, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date. Minimum 8 years of experience, demonstrating a successful progression of responsibilities. Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited higher education institution. Three (3) professional references and examples of prior completed work product. A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
