At our Advanced Engineering Department, we strive to stay ahead of future challenges through simulation and advanced analysis. For our Danfoss site in Trévoux, France, we are looking for a Senior Simulation Engineer to join the Advanced Engineering Simulation Team. Here, you can expect to play a key role in developing innovative technological solutions whilst working alongside experts from various disciplines to drive high-impact projects forward.
In this team, you can also expect to contribute to the development of current and new simulation methods using advanced simulation tools that will enable the department to further enhance its already impressive simulation capability.

Job Responsibilities Develop and assist in designing and building new technologies and products. Perform project and research-based simulations and analyses for various types of components and mechanisms in structural mechanics (FEM, BEM, Multi-Body Dynamics, Kinematics, Elasto-Hydrodynamics). Prepare simulation reports and present findings in meetings. Participate in software evaluations for the development of new methodologies. Use simulation to evaluate all mechanical aspects, ensuring that designed and developed components or products meet life cycle requirements. Be actively involved in all stages of the product development process, from customer requirements to design, prototype manufacturing, product qualification, final implementation, and product launch through simulations. Product development and release take place across multiple global regions hence the working language is English. Background & Skills Educational Background in Mechanical / Aerospace / Civil Engineering or equivalent, provided they are consistent with mathematics and physics with an applied specialization in mechanical. 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanics of materials, structural integrity and/or dynamics for industrial products, gained in similar roles. Proven experience in FEA for mechanical integrity and reliability studies. Professional practice of commercial software such as ANSYS Mechanical (preferred), NASTRAN, ABAQUS, LMS Virtual Lab, MSC ADAMS, as well as CAE software like ANSYS SpaceClaim, Creo and CATIA. Ability to formulate comprehensive conclusions and effectively communicate with engineers and technicians across different disciplines. Analytical mindset, accurate, systematic, and self-reliant. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; knowledge of French is a plus.
