As Senior RF ATE Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions. You will also work closely with third-party suppliers to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and optimization. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You’ll be responsible for developing production test solution, bringing up high-volume production, sustainment, and Return Material Authorization (RMA) debugging of mm-wave RFICs for Project Kuiper custom silicon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume production test methodologies, silicon RF debugging, and a proactive approach to resolving manufacturing challenges. You’ll be part of the team that creates a chip and system test infrastructure and methodology applicable to transmit and receive communication systems.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to implement and optimize test programs for mm-wave System-on-Chips (SoCs) on ATE platforms such as Teradyne and Advantest and ensure seamless integration into high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Work with lab bench mm-wave test systems to correlate bench and ATE results.
- Monitor and analyze production test data to identify trends, yield issues, and opportunities for test time optimization.
- Own the optimization, standardization, and improvement of test methodologies to enhance operational efficiency in production, ensure product quality and minimize cost.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and subcontractor teams to resolve test-related issues promptly.
- Lead the investigation and analysis of returned materials, identifying root causes of failures through comprehensive electrical and physical failure analysis techniques.
- Perform deep-dive debug on silicon, test boards, and ATE set ups to isolate issues related to performance drift, yield loss or test escapes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of identified issues.
- Document findings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
- Perform deep-dive debug on silicon, test boards, and ATE set ups to isolate issues related to performance drift, yield loss or test escapes.
- Review device specifications, collaborate with the design team to apply design for test principles to ensure product manufacturability.
- Interact with suppliers such as foundries and OSATs and internal production teams to support smooth production ramp and sustaining activities.
