Senior SharePoint Administrator
Job Summary

The Jackson Laboratory is looking for a senior technical specialist in SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive. As an integral member of the Enterprise Productivity Platform team, you will manage and optimize the enterprise productivity platform and adjacent technologies. seeking to automate or eliminate repeatable tasks and reduce administrative overhead, including configuration variations, performance issues on end-point devices and security vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with technology vendors, product managers, information security, legal and compliance specialists to ensure platform alignment to company policy and applicable legislation. You will engage with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, and ensure a seamless user experience across the enterprise productivity platforms.

The successful candidate will be deeply experienced in the configuration and optimal use of SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Exchange Online to securely manage enterprise data while driving efficient and effective collaboration and is a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of team members across the organization.

What You Contribute:

Platform Configuration: You will recommend, implement and maintain platform configurations for Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Box, Dropbox, Slack, and other productivity services, ensuring adherence to industry and security best practices.Needs Analysis & Best Practices: You will work closely with platform users at every level of the organization, the Product Owner, and peer technical specialists, to respond to technical and design questions, providing expert guidance and support.User & Platform Support: You will provide support for the productivity platform, responding to incidents and requests, and completing assigned tasks with a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction. You may be called upon for emergency break-fix or to perform maintenance as needed evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.SSO and Provisioning Management: You will configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) and provisioning/deprovisioning (SCIM) for all enterprise productivity services.Monitoring and Alerting: You will set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems for all enterprise productivity services to ensure optimal performance and quick issue resolution.Automation: You will automate routine tasks to continually improve user experience and team efficiencies.Content Migration: You will orchestrate content migrations between different productivity services, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.Documentation: You will document non-standard technical procedures, general technical knowledge, and represent documented changes for change advisory board.What You Are Good At:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience requiredAt least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Ability to lead large projects and operate with minimal oversight, showing expert proficiency in at least one technology field and advanced abilities in others, and taking responsibility for educating team membersIn-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint, and Teams, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory or Entra ID, MS Graph, and their interdependencies with other services.Technical knowledge in wide range of adjacent technology areas including identity and access management, PowerShell scripting and automation, and security and compliance.Experience managing productivity solutions such as Box, Dropbox, and Slack is a plus.Knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) methods and practices one would normally acquire through five (5) years of successful experience working in an Information Technology departmentAbility to independently triage and troubleshoot technical incidents.Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people representing a wide diversity of disciplines and levels of sophistication.Proven experience in managing vendor support requests and escalations.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying informed of the latest technology innovations in the productivity services that are part of the modern digital workplace.While the position can be remote, the ability to travel to one of the JAX campus locations quarterly is required.
