Location: This position is hybrid, based in Laurel, MD 20707, working onsite any 3 weekdays. Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to perform the design, development, and implementation of new ServiceNow applications and modules, as well as configuring and customizing existing ones. Responsibilities: Develops and maintains internal applications, integrations, and web services across all platforms, including optimizing ServiceNow applications. Builds custom workflows, forms, and user interfaces. Automates processes to streamline workflows, ensuring quality through thorough testing. Integrates ServiceNow with external systems using APIs. Provides ongoing technical support to end-users, creates and maintains detailed technical documentation, and ensures adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards. Works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery. Translates business needs into functional application specifications. Leads or contributes to the design, development, testing, and release of software. Manages code updates and oversees team members to meet operational goals. Finds opportunities to enhance user experience by understanding end-to-end business processes. Stays current on the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices. Participates in ServiceNow training and certification programs. Mentor's junior developers and provides guidance on best practices. Aids in creating training programs, knowledge base articles, and FAQs. Conducts code reviews and ensures application quality and maintainability. Supports ServiceNow deployment and migration, as well as testing and quality assurance activities. Monitors the health and performance of ServiceNow instances. Implements security measures to protect data and applications. Recommends strategies for improving ServiceNow performance and scalability. Contributes to the continuous improvement of processes and workflows. Participates in ServiceNow community forums and events, sharing expertise with others and contributing to the knowledge base. Supports the implementation of ServiceNow governance and compliance policies. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience as a ServiceNow developer with a strong understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities. Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in diverse team environments with a focus on ServiceNow development tools and techniques, including scripting in JavaScript, Jelly, and AngularJS. Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices. Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM and CSM. Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies. Ability to design and implement automated workflows to streamline processes. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., Azure) Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development tools and techniques. Preferred/Nice to Have Skills: Experience in water and wastewater industry understanding of oracle utility applications. Experience managing a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple stakeholders or businesses. Expert knowledge and experience in SQL queries and database design. Experience in test driven development. Experience with a variety of technologies such as multi-tiered applications, databases, LDAP and directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding security and dataflow within these components. Expert skills in developing architecture diagrams and technical designs. Experience ensuring that business engineering standards are applied by all parties involved in projects and deliveries. Clearance: The ability to pass a background check is needed.
