Senior Security Officer - K9 Handler (343981)

Schedule: FTE 1.0, Variable

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PRMCE staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high risk areas; and performs Notary services.

Required Qualifications:

Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional informationAt least 1 year post-secondary education and 1 year of experience in healthcare security OR High school Graduate and 2 years experience in healthcare security1 year Instructing, training, or coaching experience6 months Program or project management experienceCompletion of 2 professional development or leadership courses
