About the role: 

The Senior Security Engineer will implement the organization's security policies, procedures, and standards. This role requires an in-depth understanding of current and emerging threats and technology to drive innovation and improvement in all technical areas of security, including network, data, application, cloud, IAM, mobile, and endpoint. This is a remote-first position.

This role requires a proven background in Cloud and Security Operations on Azure or AWS and experience administering standard cybersecurity technologies, including Firewalls and WAFs, SIEM and SOAR capabilities, and Security Monitoring. 

These operational capabilities will ultimately drive collaboration with IT Infrastructure and Product Development to implement and test the organization's defenses against various cyberattacks, playing an active role in red, blue, and purple team exercises.

Experience with the following technologies will be an advantage: 

Microsoft Azure and AWS and their supporting security tools and frameworks.  Web Application Firewalls, such as Imperva or Cloudflare.  Vulnerability scanners such as Qualys, Nessus, Nexpose, Tripwire IP360  SIEM such as IBM QRadar, Sumo Logic, Splunk, Azure Sentinel.  Development tools such as ADO (Azure DevOps), GitHub, Jira  Container technologies, Kubernetes, AKS  Query languages like SQL and Kusto (KQL) 

To be successful, we think you need:  

5 to 7 years of experience as a Security Engineer or similar role such as Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.   A bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field such as Engineering, Information Security, or Information Systems.  Relevant Industry Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISA
