Responsibilities: Assist Project Managers (PMs) with coordinating tasks on renewable energy projects, particularly writing and assembling documents and coordinating and executing project work (including fieldwork and reporting) Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to complete all aspects of environmental impact analysis and permitting and engineering studies, including power siting board applications, and associated support studies Represent Verdantas' clients at public meetings Assist with writing and coordinating preparation of applications for local, state, and federal permitting Review/coordinate Critical Issues Analyses Review/coordinate Phase I ESAs for renewable energy projects Involvement/technical specialty in brightfields projects Help PM assemble proposals, coordinating with subcontractors and helping with Task Orders Support PM with various aspects of a project including scope, schedule, budget, technical resources, communications, and invoicing Serve as point-person to coordinate w/ internal GIS team Must have the ability to multi-task among several projects at one time Learn, understand, and apply changes in policy, legislation, regulations, and new technologies are a must
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science, natural resources, or related field Environmental Science or related degree desired 5 to 10 years of increasing responsibility in Project Management, preferably in the renewable energy industry Demonstrated experience with environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting Works effectively to deadlines with minimum supervision; strong problem-solving skills; collaborates well with colleagues regionally and globally
