Senior Sales Manager
Reference PE003004 Location Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth Salary Interval Monthly Package None-negotiable Description Our client in the Manufacturing Industry based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Senior Sales Manager.

Requirements:
A tertiary qualification or equivalent in BSc / BChem Eng or Business Management or similar (NQF Level 7). 5 years’ experience as Sales Manager. Technical sales experience within a manufacturing environment (within precious metals industry would be preferred). Excellent communication skills. Proven management and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to analyse data, compile and present information across all levels. Able and willing to travel, both locally and internationally, as required. Able to work under pressure to achieve challenging objectives.  
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Direct Sales activities
Planning, executing and documenting regular customer visits – including updating CRM and distributing meeting announcements and visit reports within the HPM network. Collaborate and cooperate with global Sales teams to support relevant HPM activities. Generate quotations for new and existing customers in SAP. Manage physical metal requirements together with Production, MRP and PM Control to ensure sufficient Precious Metals to allow for production, considering metal account balances of customers and IC business partners. Negotiate, review and control customer and product pricing to ensure optimal profitability levels for the company in a competitive environment. Compile and submit monthly forecasts and annual budgets for allocated business line Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by regularly testing customer satisfaction levels, resolving customer complaints timeously and taking pro-active steps to ensure customer requirements are met. Be the designated key user for the TRD stream in SAP. Manage the implementation of new products and/or customer-specific product specifications. Managerial:
Support and achieve defined strategic and operational objectives of the company. Set and achieve commercial and departmental targets annually. Manage the training and development needs of the employees within your department. Maintain a high-performance culture within your department by completing annual performance appraisals and conducting quarterly performance dialogues with your direct reports. Manage absenteeism and planned leave within your department to maintain high levels of productivity, enable good work-life balance for your staff members and prevent accumulation of leave balances in excess of 15 days. Work with HR to address and resolve any disciplinary or labour-relations matters relevant to your department. Ensure compliance with all relevant company and HPM policies within your department. General:
As a member of the Steering Team, prepare and present monthly feedback on defined KPIs and other relevant topics Ensure alignment among relevant internal and external stakeholders to achieve relevant strategic and operational objectives. Compile reports and presentations as required by Management for monthly meetings, board meetings, business review meetings, etc. Negotiate, maintain and sign commercial contracts within the specified Authorisation profile. Continuously pursue cost saving and improvement opportunities within the scope of daily function and relevant field of expertise. Support Business development activities.
