Our Lightspeed System Engineering team defines the performance required of all RF elements in the entire satellite communication system. As a RF Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for simulating and modeling the terrestrial and in-orbit communication systems for Lightspeed and support the definition of the architecture.Main Responsibilities Simulate and model communication systems Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, User Terminal and Landing Station engineers, to partition functions between hardware and software domains Model RF link performance and manage link budgets accounting for impairments through the different elements in the systemDerive specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystemsCharacterize and analyze system performance.
