Senior Revit Designer – NY - Hybrid
VHB is looking for an experienced Senior Revit Designer, ideally in our NY offices, but we're open to exceptional candidates from anywhere within our footprint. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop structural drawings from conceptual phase to final design for a variety of buildings and transportation infrastructure projects.Provide Revit modeling support to Project Planners and Managers as needed during project planning phase through final design and constructionCreate and manage final design structural models and integrate with architectural/MEP/civil models and CAD file.Develop /update BIM standards, workflows and quality control to ensure consistency, quality and efficiencyMentor junior Revit and CAD designers and lead the design team on model coordination and planset production.Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to produce high-quality deliverables in an efficient manner.Team oriented with strong capability to work independently across multiple engineering disciplines.Motivated to lead and mentor others on Revit and drawing production procedures.Has a persistent initiative to continually learn new technical practices and to earn the confidence of clients, company management/colleagues, and regulators.Requirements/ Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required. Associate/bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.5-10+ years of experience in Revit architectural and/or structural modeling and plan production; 10+ year experience preferred5+ years’ experience supporting Architects and EngineersMust have excellent working knowledge of drafting standards.Hybrid office attendanceOur best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $90,000 -110,000, estimated salary range for Albany/Hauppauge locations is $70,000-90,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
