The Senior Revenue Accountant will report directly to the Senior Manager, Revenue and will assist in the day-to-day activities and various responsibilities within the Revenue Organization.What you will do:Create and analyze deal review packages including revenue allocations, performing agreement review, and ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.Prepare and analyze professional service contracts and data to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and programs relative to their impact on the revenue cycle, applicable accounting standards, and company policies.Ensure all workpapers and reported figures accurately reflect business activity and are in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.Prepare and review journal entries, analyses, and reports for month-end close activities related to revenue accounting processes.Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and variance analysis, obtain corresponding support to verify accuracy and timeliness of the actual financial results, and resolve any reconciling items timely.Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the VP Revenue, Controller, and CFO. Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures in assigned areas.Build strong, collaborative working relationships across internal teams to aide in analysis, research, and process improvement.Ensure and maintain related internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Actively engage in process improvements, including developing and maintaining Sarbanes Oxley controls.Research and provide any updates on new accounting standards or updates and their application on the Company’s business.Prepare and proactively manage external and internal auditor deliverables with the external or internal audit team regarding any quarterly review and annual audit requirements.Perform and deliver special, ad-hoc Accounting and reporting projects as required with a focus on process improvement.Train and mentor other accountants on staff.What you will need:BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent practical experience, CPA preferred.4-5+ years of progressive experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm or a combination of Big 4 and industry experience, preferably with exposure to a high-growth SaaS company.Ability to work in a challenging environment, independently manage competing priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles as well as SOX and internal controls.Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite, Blackline), advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication and people skills to effectively collaborate with team members, business partners, and stakeholders.What you will gain at Intapp:Our culture at Intapp emphasizes accountability, responsibility, and growth.
