If you're looking for a unique and exciting opportunity in the marketing research and consulting space, then look no further! We are looking for a confident and passionate Individual to work on a portfolio of clients within the FMCG sector in Ethiopia and Uganda.

This role requires an individual committed to delivering excellent standards in both insight and client service, helping us to expand our network and deliver impact with clients!

You will have the chance to collaborate with leading brands and will be responsible for managing key clients in East Africa, delivering impactful projects, and driving revenue growth.

Role Overview:Maintaining FMCG Client relationships and Project delivery: Ability to manage multiple market research projects/ FMCG client accounts concurrently or single large FMCG client accounts by ensuring the delivery of client reports and effective management of the day-to-day relationship.Applying Knowledge and Skills to deliver Insights and recommendations to clients. : ability to carry out detailed technical analysis of FMCG data/information and for the creation of insights and recommendations in response to FMCG client needs and objective with excellent presentation skills.Demonstrating Commercial Competence: ability to manage the financial/commercial elements of market research projects/client accounts, including budgeting.

FMCG Client management:Understand what the FMCG client’s overall goals and marketing objectives are and the role that different departments/individuals are playing in achieving these.Use on-site time to engage with your clients, develop relationships, seek revenue and as a profile-raising opportunity.Manage the practical, day-to-day management of the delivery of the contracted service with respect to the quality, speed and volume of data along with the servicing they are entitled toBe aware of workload and potential capacity constraints, keep lines of communication open with both client & management and communicate upwards.Maintain existing, and develop new, relationships with clients, seeking to extend your network of valuable contacts beyond the Insights team.

Account Handling and commercial development:Take responsibility for FMCG client account administration, providing relevant information to accounts.Be responsible for identifying revenue opportunities and deploying wider worldpanel services in contributing to overall revenue target according to account structure.Be aware of contractual obligations and manage any potential conflicts in good timeAnticipate client demands and proactively find solutions, rather than just answering requests.Communicate effectively with senior management ensuring that they are kept up-to-date with client issues and developments.Manage appropriate inductions and training programmes with clientsInterpret and manage account plans, helping to move the focus from analysis to insight

Data Analysis & Insights:Develop a good knowledge of FMCG client’s macro environment as well as Worldpanel’s competitive environmentDevelop a good knowledge of the FMCG categories and brand awareness, and utilise in identifying and explaining key influences on market performance.Implement changes to regular reports in line with delivery strategyMake briefs from clients, and manage the production of appropriate materials/presentations/written documentation in response to the briefDemonstrate insightful reports to clients by highlighting implications to their business and offering actionable recommendationsTake responsibility for advising on solutions to problems in reports and the reporting processDeliver presentations with recommendations that actively seek to meet the objectives of the client’s brief

Role Requirements & Capabilities:Postgraduate with at least 5years’ relevant experience in market / consumer research, marketing and insight’s function preferably in the FMCG IndustryStrong verbal and visual presentation skills, with the ability to confidently articulate insightful and impactful presentations.Curious nature, possessing strong analytical skills and a true enthusiasm for understanding consumer behavior.Experience in successfully delivering consulting projects based on business analysis, offering valuable insights to clients, and effectively communicating complex data.Optimistic attitude, willing to get involved and contribute to the team's goals and objectives.Highly collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively in diverse cultural and technical environments.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with partners across all levels of the organization and facilitate constructive discussions.
