Description

The Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center is an international Center of Excellence in clinical and translational research in infectious diseases vaccines, treatment, and prevention. The mission of the Hope Clinic is to conduct human research studies and clinical trials for infectious diseases of public health importance. The clinical studies encompass vaccines, treatments, prevention, community-based research, and laboratory-based translational human immunology.  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Designs and implements information technology solutions to support and advance the research and data needs of researchers within a specific department.Actively collaborates with investigators to identify and document needs and translate them into sustainable and reliable technology solutions. Designs data management solutions that may include the creation of databases, the extension and modification of data structures, development and generation of extracts, queries and reports, and the implementation of quality controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of data. Builds systems and processes to facilitate data quality control and management. Designs and executes data reporting functionality to provide stakeholders with relevant data on key measures associated with regulatory and compliance standards. Designs and customizes research-based information technology solutions leveraging existing solutions whenever possible. Investigates and evaluates emerging technology and practices to optimize research and data management practices within the department and across the university. Manages informatics projects from conception to completion. Performs related responsibilities as required.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree and five years of experience supporting technology in a clinical, research or health industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Demonstrated expertise in translating business requirements into technical solutions, extracting and manipulating data and implementing quality controls.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
