Informa Connect's Wealth Management Group is the award-winning media team tracking the business side of financial advice and wealth management. Our editorial team covers the news and trends relevant to financial advisors, the firms they work for and with, and other players in the wealth management ecosystem. That includes broker/dealers, registered investment advisors and custodians, asset managers large and small, regulators and the rapidly growing ecosystem of technology firms that work with advisors and wealth managers.

Informa Connect’s WealthManagement.com is seeking a talented, energetic, and self-motivated Sr Reporter and Staff Writer to join our team. 

Currently, we are looking for a wealth management reporter to report and write stories that lead our coverage of the wealth management industry, from breaking news briefs to in-depth original stories that analyze the most impactful trends. You will monitor your beat, pitch ideas, cultivate sources, cover breaking news, hunt down scoops, and develop long-term projects. 

We’re looking for a quick learner, strong reporter and concise writer to discover, define and track the stories inside the wealth management industry with a focus on the fast-growing fintech channel, adding to our coverage of the latest news and trends around Wall Street brokerage firms, independent investment advisors, regulators and asset managers. Along with news, commentary and proprietary industry research, our site delivers independent in-depth reporting, features and analysis of the wealth management industry.

Qualifications5-8 years of  journalism and business reporting experiencePrior journalism experience in wealth management is preferred Candidates located in New York and that have the ability to do a hybird work schedule strongly encouraged to apply A proven track record of digging for the stories behind the press releases and experience in writing compelling copy for a time-strapped audience.Responsible for sourcing, reporting and writing news and features on the business and technology of financial advice. Including breaking news articles Experience with interviewing sources, finding news and writing news reports.Tracks copy and graphic material, performs copyediting and proofreading, assists in the coordination of editorial, production workflow and planning.  Follows publication standards and policies.Experience in a daily journalism environment is required; B2B journalism experience is preferred.The ideal candidate will be able to moderate panels and conduct knowledgeable interviews with industry leaders both in-person at industry events as well as online.

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is 70k to 90k depending on experience.
