For more information, visit www.gf.com. Summary of Role:This role is intended for our Malta site Fab 8, a 300mm leading edge semiconductor manufacturing facility. As a Senior Reliability Technician you are responsible for monitoring, testing and measuring the reliability of semiconductor devices. This role is in a laboratory environment (REL Lab) with equipment for testing and measuring semiconductor wafers. Concise communication of updates on the status of testing, equipment, and area to the Lead Tech and/or Engineer or Manager is a vital part of the job. Essential Functions – Skills (Employees must be able to perform these essential functions, with or without an accommodation): + Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks + Ability to perform work activities in a safe and responsible manner in line with all FAB8 EHS&S policies + Work independently and collaboratively with teams in a fast-paced environment + Support and engage in training activities + Perform wafer level reliability testing (HCI, NBTI, TDDB, Voltage Ramp, etc.) to support new technology reliability development and qualifications. + Monitor, control, and test semiconductor devices for manufacturing readiness + Execute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers and parametric testers. + Implement proper documentation to ensure proper reliability test operations and conformance to GlobalFoundries’ quality system. + Complete event documentation and effectively communicate with other Technicians, Engineers, and Managers + Ability to effectively use time management to prioritize and plan daily work and scheduled activities. Essential Functions - Physical Capacity Demands (Employees must be able to perform these essential functions, with or without an accommodation): + Ability to work in a standing position for >75% of an 8-hour shift (excluding breaks) + Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry at least 25 pounds periodically throughout the shift (above 50lbs requires a two-person lift) + Ability to manually manipulate hand tools and small hardware for >75% of an 8-hour shift (excluding breaks) + Ability to utilize computer (typing, visual screen time) for >75% of a 8-hour shift (excluding breaks) + Ability to work in a laboratory environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements + Able to wear upgraded PPE in accordance with any GF safety procedures, including, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical splash apron & gloves, and full-face shield, when required. Other Responsibilities: + Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs. + Other duties as assigned by manager. Required Qualifications: + Education: High School Degree (or equivalent) + Experience: Electrical, Engineering, one of the following: + 2-year technical degree and 4 years of relevant experience + 2 years of relevant military experience and 4 years of relevant experience + 6 years of relevant experience (engineering related, technical, laboratory, quality, test engineering, etc.) + Travel Requirements: Minimal travel + Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal) + Basic reading and writing comprehension skills + Basic computer navigation skills - (i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook) + Able to work in a laboratory environment + Able to wear upgraded PPE in accordance with any GF safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications: + Education - Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, military equivalent, trade equivalent, or equivalent experience. + Experience – 4+ Years of direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing. + Related experience with semiconductor parametric test equipment, such as Keysight, Keithley, and others. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Strong planning & organizational skills. Shift Schedule: + Monday through Friday 8-hour shift. Expected Salary Range $46,400.00 - $80,100.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
