This position reports to the Mine Maintenance General Foreperson.

This position is located at the Nutrien Vanscoy Potash site.

The title and salary offered will be based on experience and education.

 

What you will do:

 

Identify areas of improvement and risks to production Focus on asset reliability Ensure that appropriate mitigation has been initiated for any assets in an unsatisfactory condition and that key stakeholders are informed Provide technical support to the field & main shop mechanical crews and as required Initiate, contribute to, and/or facilitate root cause failure analyses when required on failed equipment Create weekly progress reports on any reliability initiatives and also the progress of any relevant corrective actions Evaluate data to assess equipment health and investigating any anomalies in the data Assist with development of business cases for reliability-driven initiatives Provide guidance to project teams to ensure operational and project activities are aligned with reliability program goals Assist in the development of underground reliability program, oil analysis, vibration analysis, etc… Work in collaboration with all mine groups, operations, construction, mine engineering and maintenance crews

 

What you will bring:

 

A Mechanical Engineering Degree or Mechanical Technologist Diploma is required Registration with a professional governing body (e.g., APEGS or SASTT) is required Work experience with reliability activities will be considered an asset Deep Safety Commitment Expectation of self and others to demonstrate respect, at all times Must be willing to work in a team environment with various site groups, operations, construction, field trades, engineering, and safety Mindset emphasizing the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace Ability to effectively communicate in professional setting and with non-technical workforce Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.) is an asset, but not required Ability to perform field work/ability to work underground SAP Systems experience is an asset Past experience within the mining industry considered an asset Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
