The Role
Veeva is looking for an experienced Release Engineer to be a part of our CRM Release Management team. This person will help deliver software releases, maintain SaaS environments, and support our product and technology teams at Veeva. The Veeva CRM department is team-oriented and works collaboratively to deliver a high-quality SaaS CRM product across multiple platforms (Unix/Linux, iOS and Windows). Ensure all changes are documented, approved, and verifiedFacilitate resolution of deployment problems with Engineering, QA, and Technical OperationsWork cross-functionally with teams including QA, Engineering, PM, Customer Support and Operations to ensure release readinessDeliver releases/upgrades to SaaS instances with focus and precisionProactively identify, recommend, and implement software release process improvements to maximize efficiencyProvide timely support and expertise to internal Veeva teamsManage the build and deployment of mobile appsProvision, build out, and maintain new CRM environmentsRequirements5+ years experience in release engineering for an organization with complex applicationsBS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TestRailSaaS product delivery experienceSelf-starter with strong analytic and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and bring them to resolutionExperience with source code version control systems such as GitKnowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed computing environmentsDeep understanding of SDLC, SQA processes and agile methodologyProject management, relationship building, organizational and communication skillsAbility to successfully partner with all functions across the companyCandidates must be located in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone; Local to the Bay Area preferredApplicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States.
