Principal responsibilities
Impact on the Business / Function
Provide policy interpretation on regulatory requirements and communicate requirements to stakeholders.Support the end-to-end process for IRB model and rating systems submissions to the HKMA.Handle regulatory consultation and industry engagement.Customers / Stakeholders
Manage the regulatory engagement with stakeholders on the update of regulatory engagement, policy, and deliverables.Support the interaction with customer groups and product groups to ensure understanding of regulatory policy to achieve related aims. Support the ad-hoc survey, thematic review from regulator.Leadership Teamwork
Strong communication working alongside other Risk Disciplines, Finance, businesses at Regional and Group office and across countries, and with Group Risk to ensure implementation of new disciplines in a globally consistent manner.Operational Effectiveness Control

5 to 15 years of experience in banking industry, including experience in Credit Risk and Wholesale Banking products.Have a good understanding of Basel framework, credit risk (PD/EAD/LGD) modelling and their underlying risk drivers, in particular within the wholesale environment.Prefer to have experience in Basel and HKMA and PRA regulatory capital rules.Sizable system integration project experience preferable related to regulatory capital / risk modelling implementation, including system testing cases and user acceptance testing.Skills
Able to work in a dynamic and multinational culture and cope with high pressure.Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills for stakeholder management and engagement.Advanced judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems.Ability to build effective relationships and liaise effectively with key business areas and management at all levels of the organization.Have a strong desire to embrace and drive change with strong influencing ability.Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
