Join our team and help us keep communities connected. **Your Opportunity** Stantec’s Northwest Transportation group has an immediate need for a highly motivated Senior Rail Specialist with 20 years of experience focusing on the railroad engineering services for mid-size to large transportation projects. This is a part-time position. It is flexible between Stantec’s Bellevue WA office and remote work. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Contribute to initiatives to help advance our project design, operations, and business development + Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider + Lead close coordination with railroad companies and help obtaining railroad agreements. + Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader + Lead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management + Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities + Establish, maintain, and promote partnerships in project pursuits **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Marketing skills required + Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic and energetic environment + Design-Build or other alterative project delivery experience **Education and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. Post graduate degree preferred + Licensed Professional Engineer in WA + Minimum of twenty (20) years of railroad engineering experience on mid to large scale transportation projects + Experience of railroad coordination, railroad design review support, and railroad agreement support. + Business development experience required Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
