JOB PURPOSE:
We are currently seeking a Senior Scientist for our Research and Development (R&D) department at Merck. In this role, you will lead research and development projects within the organization, focusing on innovative solutions and product development. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior scientists, and driving scientific excellence to achieve project goals.
YOUR ROLE
Lead and manage R&D projects from concept through to commercialization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectivesDesign and conduct experiments to develop new products or improve existing ones, analyzing data and interpreting results.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.Mentor and train junior scientists and research staff, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation.Stay current with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory requirements to inform research strategies.Prepare and present research findings, reports, and publications to internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to the development of intellectual property and patent applications as needed.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all laboratory activities.
WHO YOU ARE
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Proficient in formulations, surfactants, polymers, colloidal chemistry, and electrochemistry.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.al background in the semiconductor industry.
